Natural Laundry Booster

Before my eco hippy nature took centre stage, if my clothes weren’t getting clean from my laundry powder, I would add a booster in to get them super clean. Well, soap nuts aren’t miracle makers and if you have some funky stuff that needs to go through your wash but you want to be an eco-hippy about it you have to find the natural alternative.

Why not give this a go before you lose hope? use soap nuts as per usual, but add a tablespoon of bicarb to the load. It makes a huge difference to some of the more stubborn stains. Bicarb is a very mild alkaline powder that slightly raises the pH of water when it is mixed in. It is also a mild antiseptic that will discourage bacteria growth and a natural deodoriser.

Give it a try and let me know what you think 🙂
